Ecology

I have always had a love for planting and an interest in ecological design. This has sparked a curiosity in green roofs and compelled me to improve my plant knowledge. I have undertaken professional planting plans at BMLA and at university and I have hands-on experience working in a plant nursery.

At the University of Sheffield I designed a small nature park comprising of a bio-diverse meadow mix and deciduous woodland. (2004)

This was a great early project that provided a lot of learning. I was able to graphically portray ideas for the planting schemes.

I have had good experience designing planting beds, large scale tree planting, meadow mixes and swathes of planting, as in this project (2004).

My 2004 Urban Design project allowed me to explore various planting schemes and presentation styles.
